Halloween weekend officially begins tonight. Apparently its not a huge thing here in Germany, but since there are so many of us Yanks here, the local bars really go all out. I can't wait. It should prove to be a good time. To save on money, I am planning on beginning the pre-drink phase of the night soon, and therefore I won't have to spend so much at the bars. As another result of my budgeted status, I am dressing up cheaply and will be a secret. Shhhhh, don't tell anyone.
I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to implement this costume. If I can find a marker, I suppose I may just write "Sssshhhhhhh" or "Ssshhh, don't tell anyone" on a sign I can wear. At this point, it's either this, or I'm going as an American tourist. I'd rather not cop-out of the Halloween spirit if I can avoid it.
I believe the plan is to go to a new bar tonight. Jameson's is a popular bar among the employees here at Edelweiss. I'm excited to see a new place. Not that I'm in any sort of rush, but I am making it a goal of mine to sample the local establishments. Even the ones that are swamped with Americans. Apparently, Jameson's fits this category well.
The photos at the top of the page are of The Abrams, the place where I live. I took them while inside the complex, from my kitchen window. The following pictures are just some I decided to snap on the way to work today. It was such a gorgeous day, I had to document it.
