Mile 1500.  Sturgis.  Biker Mecca.  Too bad I can’t stay and
school the amateurs.  Bundling up.  The sun leaves and it is getting cold.

I can't imagine why I might have stopped.
There's nothing there.  Pretty though.

Texline, TX

I bought some real estate in Texline, TX
from four brokers who may be as old as me
when you combine their ages.

Mile 629.  Dumas, TX.  That's pretty much it.

Mile 582.  Amarillo.  Weather is perfect but
West Texas is windy and often smells of 'nature'.

Lubbock, TX

Mile 451.  Lubbock has greeted me with the sunrise,
the first 3G since Abilene, and the refreshing aroma
of 100,000 tons of cow leavings.  I need a Wal-Mart.


The hotel I took an hour nap in just north of Lubbock.
Also enjoyed half of a roast beef from Tex-Andwiches

Abilene, TX

Mile 276.  I drove through a cold front about 50 mi back.
Rode through the storm after a tranfromation of the machine
'Psychlotron' into rain mode.  Autobots, roll out.  EE EH AH AW.
Gonna change my route slightly to go north of the rest of the storm.

it broke off when I dropped the bike on campus a few months ago.
A simple roadside repair.  Still feelin groovy.
