The Marathon

The last two days have been rough.  Not rough.  Just long and tiring.  Yesterday work was fine.  It was normal.  After work I managed to rest for a moment before I joined some friends for dinner.  There wasn't a really well drawn out plan.  We just walked until we found something appealing.  We ended up at Asia City.  As you may be able to guess, they served Asian food.

I got a pork and vegetable dish.  I enjoyed it well enough.  Apparently I was just about the only one in our group that enjoyed my food.  I will admit that on the walk back home, there was a very heavy feeling in my stomach.  I was just happy to have tried something new in town.  I think I will do a doner again next time.  It was soooo good.

I kept the sleep party rocking in the Abrams 235.  After diner I sat down to make a blog entry and about three minutes later, I was out like a light.  I did wake up a few times in the night.  I managed to find and set an online alarm clock to replace my iphone, which I left at work.  I was nervous, but it worked quite well to wake me up.

I was on my own today at work.  Collin, who is my fellow warehouse guy, had the day off.  I managed to do the regular work comfortably and in a timely manor.  We had some leftover work from our October inventory that I had to do in the after noon.  It took a little longer than desired, and I didn't leave until 6:45.  So to simplify the story, I worked a ten hour day today.

As I left the warehouse, I was greeted with rain that had started while I was finishing my work.  It was only a light drizzle, so I didn't let it bother me.  I was relieved to get back to the Abrams after my ride home.  I changed into a new outfit that included the first pair of shorts I've worn since I arrived in Germany.  There are some people trying to get me to go out to Peaches for Dollar Night, but I'm thinking that a quiet night in will be the most likely outcome.

Tomorrow is my day off.  For my last day off I rested and did a lot of nothing.  Tomorrow I think I will try to explore a little bit of the city.  I've seen quite a bit of it by now, but mostly at night.  I want to go to the business district in Partenkirchen I think.  There are dozens of very interesting looking stores.  Who knows what I'll really do though.
