A Cloudy, Rainy Day At The ELR |
I went out last night for Karoke at Jameson's. Without getting into any real detail, that decision made it a little bit more difficult to get started this morning.
After I arrived at work, and had my breakfast and morning pick-me-up, I received a call from my boss's boss. He was calling to inform me that his boss's boss is possibly going to visit the warehouse today, and just wanted to me to be expecting him. I went on with my day as usual, and made my run to the ELR without seeing my boss's boss's boss's boss. That is until he surprised me in the back of the hotel while I was transporting some merchandise. The encounter went smoothly enough, but I don't think I 'wow'ed anyone.
After that I returned to the warehouse where I had to escort my first freight shipment in. We got in some skis for the winter season. Very exciting stuff. Then I had to go BACK to the hotel for a Staff Salute Meeting where I and the others in my group were introduced as well as the employee of the month recognized. After a few friendly words with coworkers and a few h'orderves, I headed back to the warehouse to finish my day's work.
Oh, my boss and coworker are both on leave. I am all on my own for the next few days. Today was one thing after the other. Other than the less than desirable start, I rather enjoyed a day broken up by so many tasks.
